Paris Grey Ornate Table **SOLD**

**SOLD**
This table I acquired from an awesome auction. It was one of the last pieces of the night, but I had had my eye on it all night.  I love all the details on the apron and the beautiful legs on her! This is one whole piece of wood - the legs are not screwed in - but are all a part of the table (I haven't actually seen that before).

Before:

The colours used are Paris Grey and Old White by Annie Sloan.  Handbuffed with speciality wax for durability  and protection.

Claw Footed, Bowed Antique Dresser

Elegant & shiny large substantial Antique dresser. Solid Maple wood - no particle board or MDF. Dovetailed joints. Solid & sturdy bowed front, claw foot dresser. Refinished in Zero chemicals black Chalk paint, hand buffed with wax for a satin sheen and to add protection and durability. Adorned with gold silk screened floral pattern that wraps around to one side of dresser. Beautiful matching gold and crystal knobs. Pictures don't do it justice. Nice deep black & shiny dresser. Would look just as great as a foyer/hall table as well as in a bedroom. Three very roomy drawers. Fully steamed, cleaned & redeemed.

1900 Sideboard ***For my Paralegal Office!***

I had this beautiful (but very damaged) sideboard for quite some time before I refinished it.  I'm so glad I got busy with other things because I ended up needing a sideboard in my new business office - I'm in the midst of opening a Paralegal practice in Hamilton!

So, this lady had a lot of veneer cracking and peeling off.  It all needed to be removed first - huge job and on this lady it was the worse removal I have ever encountered.  Normally an overnight soak of towels on the veneer or placing a hot iron over some protective sheets over the veneer loosens the glue. I don't know what glue this carpenter used over a hundred years ago but it should be patented. I struggled with this for two days to get the veneer off - my hands were so sticky from the glue. I really did not enjoy that part.  It was stripped and then the fun part - Graphite (AS) and then dry brushed with Modern Masters Silver Metallic.  The middle portion was chalkboard painted and then clear waxed (AS). I love the way it turned out!

Waterfall Vanity Circa 1940 "Marie Antoinette"

This waterfall vanity/desk handcrafted in 1940 has been painted in my new favourite colour, "Paris Grey" by Annie Sloan and then an embellishment of Marie Antoinette added to the front drawers, making her truly a one of a kind piece of furniture.  Beautiful crystal knobs set her off! All protected with Annie Sloan clear wax and hand buffed for the perfect shine! All drawers open and close with ease - which is nice to find in a antique as so often they can be buggers!

Duncan Phyfe Pedestal Table **SOLD**

**SOLD**
This creation is a "Paris" inspired one! Charming pedestal legs grace this little beauty.  Duncan Phyfe, of course is a very high end furniture line, so the craftsmanship is outstanding.  Little claw feet grace this beauty as well.  This is finished in Annie Sloan "Graphite" with dark wax - no clear wax - to bring it up to that "black" level.  The bottom is "Old White".  Hand buffed for the satin sheen.

Embellished Yellow Side Table

I love this colour from the vanGogh line of paints - "Empathy".  I added a transfer of a chandelier with flowers and birds and think it looks quite dainty! A little pop of colour to add to a room!

French Vanity ***In my Paralegal Office***

I drove very far to acquire this beautiful French Vanity - way north past Peterborough.  I bought it quite a few months ago and subconsciously did not start to work on her as I wanted to keep her for myself.  Well, I am so glad I held off - I'm in need of a desk for my new office! So, this vanity is now going to be my desk.  I applied some appliqués to the back of it, so that my clients sitting on the other end will also have something pretty to look at on the desk! My side of the desk (the front) is filled with intricate carvings.  This was done in Graphite and dry-brushed with "Paris Grey" with beautiful crystal knobs added.
